Bulleit announced this week the nationwide, limited availability release of Bulleit Rye 12-Year-Old Straight American Whiskey.Bulleit Rye 12-Year-Old Straight American Whiskey is the fifth addition to the Bulleit Frontier Whiskey family, as well as the first extension of Bulleit Rye, a whiskey with one of the highest rye percentages on the market.

Cascade Brewing Announces Two Bottle and Draft Releases

Cascade Brewing has announced two upcoming bottle and draft releases for this month: Brunch Line on March 8, and Tropical Embers on March 15. Both projects will be available in 500ml bottles and on draft at Cascade’s two Portland pubs and through distribution.

In Portland, brunch lines are as much an institution as brunch itself, so Cascade made a beer dedicated to the rain-soaked hordes of brunch-goers who patiently stand in line for their weekend fare.

This limited release explores how barrel entry proof affects bourbon flavor profile over long aging periods. The bourbon was aged for sixteen years prior to bottling. The four entry proofs chosen for this experiment were 125, 114, 105, and 90 proof. Each of the barrel proofs was evaluated individually over the course of sixteen years before marrying the barrels together to comprise the Abraham Bowman Sweet XVI bourbon.
