The Glenrothes, Speyside Scotch whisky, revamped its single malt offering and launched the Soleo Collection. The initial offering included a 10 Year Old, 12 Year Old, Whisky Maker’s Cut and 18 Year Old.  More recently the distillery’s award winning 25 Year Old whisky, the most mature expression in the collection, arrived to the U.S. Market.

Phinney Pays More Than Lip Service To Rye

Layered and complex, Lip Service is the first release of Dave Phinney’s highly anticipated three year-old Rye Whiskey. Each barrel is hand-selected for its unique attributes by the man himself. The youngest rye in the blend is aged for a minimum of three years in new charred American oak barrels and then uniquely finished in wine barrels from Phinney’’s Grenache project in Maury, France.

Eastside Distilling Starts Shipping Redneck Riviera Whiskey “Granny Rich Reserve”

Eastside Distilling, Inc. announced that the new reserve Redneck Riviera Whiskey, “Granny Rich Reserve,” has started to ship. Granny Rich Reserve is a premium priced blend of traditional corn whiskey, aged three years or more, blended with American single malt aged at least four years. According to the Distilled Spirits Council, vodka has become the backbone of the spirits industry, accounting for 32% of all volume. In 2017, 71.3 million 9-liter cases of vodka were sold in the United States, generating $6.2 billion in revenue for distillers.

The Council states that an important growth driver has been the continued popularity of flavored vodkas as they now account for around 21% of all vodkas sold in the U.S. Today, consumers can enjoy vodkas that have been infused with natural spices, refreshing citrus flavors, raspberry, vanilla and other alternatives.
